Fill the
first bucket.

Then the next one, and the one after that. The buckets do not hold health. They hold resources: your money, your time, your attention, your appointments, your willpower. All five are finite, and where you pour them is the most consequential decision you make about your own aging.

The order runs from the simplest and cheapest to the most complex and expensive. Do the basics before the fancy stuff.

The price goes up as the evidence goes down. Bucket one is free and it is the one that matters most. Bucket three costs thousands and may do nothing at all. Almost nobody in this business will tell you that, because most of them sell bucket three.

Four rules that make this work.

1. Overflow, not completion. You never “finish” a bucket. You fill it as well as you reasonably can, and what spills over (spare money, spare attention, spare Tuesdays) runs down to the next. Nobody is being told to wait.

2. Inside bucket one there is no order. The buckets are a sequence; the four pillars inside bucket one are not. Show up for any one, stay for all four. Start with whichever you can face on a Tuesday.

3. The buckets refill. Bucket one is a permanent habit, not a phase you graduate from. You do not stop walking because you have moved on to blood tests.

4. We are not against bucket three. Recreational anti-aging is fine. If you enjoy it and can afford it, help yourself, the same as a weekend in Las Vegas. The objection is buying bucket three while bucket one sits empty.

01The Basics

Move. Eat well. Sleep. Stay connected. That’s it. That’s the bucket, and it is the one with the strongest evidence in all of longevity medicine. It costs you a calendar, not a credit card.

02Measure & ask

Blood pressure. A1c. Kidney and liver function. DEXA. Coronary calcium. Hearing. Cheap, mostly covered, and almost never ordered unless somebody asks, plus the question hardly anyone asks: do I still need all these medications?

03The fancy stuff

IV drips, peptides, whole-body MRI, cancer panels, chambers, a stack of fifty supplements. Sometimes real, often theatre, always expensive. Fine once the first two are full, and that is the only claim we make about it.
